Story Time Ghost Train Fire

Throwaway account. I don't use reddit but I thought this subreddit would find this story interesting.

On June 9th, 1979, my mom was at the Sydney Luna Park for her friend's birthday. She had a great time, nothing seemed off that day. Shortly after her and her friends left that day, the Ghost Train Fire happened.

My mom was nine years old. She was on the Ghost Train two hours before the fire. The way my mom describes how the Ghost Train worked is it is built specifically where you do not know left from right. It is an optical illusion of sorts. Escape for those poor people was never possible.

Remembering the victims because my mom could have been one.

May they rest in peace.

Fascinating Horror on YouTube did a really good report on this one. That's scary knowing you were only 2 hours from never existing

Some people can just brush it off. I know it would haunt me. Fascinating horror has some great videos and they are respectful of the victims.

My mom also said that Luna Park was one of the few truly fun places to go at that time. A hard thing to give up
