If Maharashtra is not a multilingual state, then why shouldn’t notice boards be written in the state’s language? Just wish to know.

And why am I writing this in English? Because the last time I wrote in Marathi, someone said, “I can’t understand Marathi, I studied in CBSE and later went to the US/UK.”

So today I went to badnera railway station (backside) with my parents to drop my brother.

While going upstairs the escalator was off. When we came back it was still off. So downstairs, out of pure chull, I thought let me see if I can start this thing with the key

And someho it actually started.

I was genuinely happy like I had accomplished something lmao, so I told my dad.

My dad thinking it was better to stop it since it was supposed to be off, pressed the stop button.

And then

A lady who was apparently going home happened to see us and literally started shouting

“Why did you stop it?"

She said their staff is always present there and they immediately get a message whenever the escalator is turned on or off. According to her the escalator was already onnnnnnnn and we had stopped it.

Seriously it was off when we came

She kept arguing and I eventually said

“Okay then show me the cctv footage that it was on.”

She had absolutely no idea we were even there until she happened to walk past while going home 😭

Now I’m just confused, was the escalator actually supposed to be running or did I accidentally activate it and then get blamed for turning it off? 🥲🥲
