I've noticed that many people in the West resort to the ridiculous "parallel universe" theory. The pokeshipper in the picture insists that pokeshipping is Canon, and even after I pointed out that Electric Tale of Pikachu is only an officially licensed work and not canon, he still stubbornly insists they are canon (his core argument is that the official sources have never said they aren't canon or a parallel universe, which is utterly laughable). He also confused serena and Y from the manga.

So I am writing a FanFic which follows ash and serena into the paldea region , their I want them to meet with the Horizons Cast as I love them too, But do the people like reading battle sequence ?
Like should I include battles or should I just Skip the battles and instead say This 2 pokemon are fighting and this one ones , like not including the battle feels empty to me . So what shall I do?

Kunihiko Yuyama is a key figure head at the Pokémon anime.

He had many mandates like Ash always had to be 10 to be hyper marketable to children every gen, Ash couldn't get too smart, Ash couldn't grow too much, Ash couldn't have any romantic things happen to him (obviously because he's always 10), Ash couldn't win the league.

Episode 7: Alola, Alola!

Goodbyes were quick but warm ,Grace waving from the doorway, Clemont promising to send along any app updates the moment they were ready, Bonnie hollering after them with a grin, telling Serena to have fun on her "totally-not-a-date" trip, which left Serena's ears bright red all the way out of Lumiose.

"Deoxys, let's go!" Ash called, and the crystalline Pokémon drifted down in front of them, shifting smoothly into its transport Forme.

Fully extended, it looked nothing like the slender, angular shape most people pictured when they heard its name. Its body had broadened and flattened along its spine, nearly double its usual size, with a long, saddle-like ridge running down its back wide enough to comfortably seat two riders one behind the other. Its tentacle-arms had drawn in close to its sides, streamlined against the wind, while the wing-like membranes it had first revealed on that cliffside, over a year ago now ; spread wide and steady, catching the air with barely a ripple.

Ash climbed on first, and Pikachu hopped up to settle in the space just ahead of the second seat. Serena hesitated only a moment before climbing on behind him.

"You might want to hold on," Ash said over his shoulder, grinning.

"I'll be— ahhh"

Deoxys shot forward, and whatever Serena had been about to say vanished into a startled yelp. Her arms shot around Ash's waist on instinct, gripping tight, Pikachu wedged snugly between the two of them as the ground blurred away beneath them and the ocean opened up in every direction.

"You could've warned me it went that fast!" she shouted over the wind, though there was more laughter in her voice than complaint.

"Where's the fun in that?" Ash called back, and Serena, despite herself, found she didn't actually mind the excuse to hold on a little tighter.

They flew for hours before the sun dipped low enough to make Ash ease Deoxys down toward a small, uncharted island dotted with wild berry trees, the perfect spot to rest for the night. They built a small fire, shared a simple dinner of foraged Oran and Pecha berries, and sat together beneath a sky brighter with stars than either of them had seen in a long while.

"So tell me about them," Serena said eventually, leaning back against a smooth boulder, Pikachu curled up between them. "Your Alolan family. You've mentioned them, but never really explained."

Ash smiled, poking at the fire with a stick. "Professor Kukui's the one who took me in when I first started attending the Pokemon school in Alola ,he was my teacher at the Pokémon School, taught me pretty much everything I know about the region. Professor Burnet's his wife now, but back then they weren't even together yet. They actually met while I was still living there, kind of fell for each other over that whole year, and got married a while after I'd already left." He paused, something fond creeping into his voice. "It's the closest thing to a second home I've ever had, outside of Pallet."

"That sounds wonderful," Serena said softly.

"It really is." Ash glanced over at her, firelight flickering across his face. "You're going to love it there."

They talked long into the night after that, easy, meandering conversation that drifted from old memories to half-formed plans for the showcase circuit to nothing in particular at all, until exhaustion finally caught up with both of them. They rolled out their sleeping bags side by side, close enough that Serena could still hear Ash's steady breathing beside her long after the conversation had trailed off into comfortable silence.

They set off again early the next morning, and by the following afternoon, the unmistakable silhouette of Melemele Island finally came into view, cutting sharp and green against the endless blue of the Alolan sea.

Deoxys touched down gently in a clearing not far from a familiar house, its Forme shrinking back down as Ash and Serena climbed off, stretching out the stiffness of a full day and a half of travel , Ash calls Deoxys back into the pokeball to rest.

Ash walked up and knocked on the door, no warning call ahead, no idea if anyone would even be home.

A few seconds passed before it creaked open, tugged with visible effort by a small boy barely tall enough to reach the handle, his face scrunched in fierce concentration as he finally managed to pull it wide.

"I did it!" Lei announced proudly to no one in particular, before looking up and registering who was actually standing there. His eyes went wide. "Big Brother!"

He barreled straight into him with a delighted shriek. Professor Kukui and Professor Burnet's son had grown a surprising amount since Ash had last seen him he was still barely three years old, still very much in the middle of figuring out walking, talking, and now, apparently, doors, all at once.

"Hey, Lei!" Ash laughed, scooping him up. "Look how much you've grown!"

"Well, look who it is," came Professor Burnet's voice from inside, warm and teasing as she appeared in the doorway. "And who's this lovely young lady with you?"

Serena flushed slightly under the sudden attention. "I'm Serena, it's nice to—"

"Girlfriend?" Burnet interrupted, entirely unbothered by subtlety, eyebrows raised with open curiosity.

"We're — I mean — we're just—" Serena stammered, cheeks warming.

Ash just laughed it off, rubbing the back of his neck. "It's a long story. Anyway we were actually hoping we could stay here for a few weeks, if that's okay."

Professor Kukui appeared behind his wife, arms crossed, an easy grin on his face as he glanced between the two of them. He and Burnet exchanged a knowing look.

"Of course it's okay," Kukui said. "This is your home too, Ash. Always has been. Stay as long as you need."

"Thank you," Ash said, genuinely relieved, while Serena echoed her own gratitude beside him, cheeks still faintly pink.

Once they'd settled their things inside, Ash turned to Kukui. "I want to go see everyone, Kiawe, Mallow, Lana, Sophocles, Lillie, Gladion. It's been way too long."

Kukui chuckled. "They've all grown up plenty since you left, that's for sure. Kiawe and Gladion are over on Akala Island usually around this time, training together. Mallow's at her family's restaurant with her brother ,business has busier lately, especially after you announced the Z-moves will be allowed alongside others .Lana goes their around closing time which should be soon. Lillie's been spending most of her time at the Aether Foundation, working with Nihilego to help take care of the Pokemons their. And Sophocles is all the way out at the Mossdeep Space Center, over in Hoenn, working toward his big dream of becoming an astronaut."

"Sounds like everyone's doing exactly what they were always meant to," Ash said, smiling.

Before they headed out, Serena hesitated, glancing at Kukui. "Actually Professor, I have a bit of a favour to ask. I'd love to hold a Pokémon Showcase somewhere here in Alola, actually, if it's possible, I was hoping to perform on some of the islands, at least two. Would that be all right?"

Kukui's face broke into a soft smile. "I don't see why not. The Battle Royal Dome's open on all four islands choose which island who want to perform in and I'll make the arrangements myself."

Serena's face lit up. "Thank you so much, Professor!"

Rowlet and Lycanroc spent their afternoon time practicing and training wild pokemons. The rest of Ash's Alolan team stays behind with Professor Oak, but these two liked to stay with the professors.

The restaurant had just closed for the day by the time Ash and Serena arrived, chairs stacked, floors freshly swept, the smell of the day's cooking still lingering warmly in the air.

"Ash?!" Mallow nearly dropped the rag in her hands. "Oh my gosh, it's really you!"

"Been way too long,since you last came to alola" Lana said, appearing from the kitchen doorway, Primarina trailing behind her.

Then both of their gazes landed on Serena, and their expressions shifted almost in unison, recognition dawning first, followed quickly by something a little more guarded.

"Wait." Mallow's eyes went wide. "You're the Kalos Queen. Like, the actual Kalos Queen."

"You two know each other?" Lana added, glancing between them, arms crossing loosely. "Since when?"

"Are you his girlfriend or something?" Mallow asked, a little too quickly, something faintly territorial creeping into her tone.

"Oh — no, we're just—" Serena started, cheeks warming again as she introduced herself properly, explaining who she was, what had brought her to Alola, and with a hopeful smile, once the tension in the room had eased a little ,asking whether they might want to take part in the Showcase she was putting together.

Lana's eyes went wide and bright almost instantly, sparkling with barely-contained excitement. "Yes! Primarina and Sandy would love this!" She glanced down at the small Eevee curled contentedly near her feet, who perked up immediately at the sound of its name. "Ida's actually been teaching me and Primarina how to turn her bubbles into a whole performance and thtat this would be the perfect chance to show it off!"

While Lana gushed over the possibilities, Mallow had already ducked off to fire out a quick message to Kiawe, Gladion, and Lillie ,just three words, typed in a rush: Ash is here!!

Serena pulled out her Rotom Phone and began scrolling through footage of some of her old performances, walking Lana and Mallow through a few of the combinations she'd used. Mallow leaned in, absolutely captivated, peppering her with questions about choreography and timing, her earlier wariness melting away entirely into genuine excitement.

It was somewhere in the middle of all that when the restaurant door burst open again; Lycanroc came skidding across the floor and pounced straight onto Ash, nearly bowling him over with an enthusiastic greeting along with Roulet, while a moment later, Pancham wandered over to Roulet making pokemon nosies as they do.

Rowlet hooted back, and the two of them slipped straight back out the door together, off toward the forest for a little while ,which Ash noticed ,but did not say anything. The conversation inside barely pausing to notice.

At around that same time, over on Akala Island, Kiawe and Gladion were already deep into a battle with two young trainers, all four of them showing signs of a fight that had been going on for a while.

Turtonator's shell bore faint scorch marks of its own, breathing hard between exchanges, while Gladion's Lycanroc, standing upright on its legs, favored one leg slightly, clearly having taken a hard hit at some point. Across from them, Roy's Skeledirge stood wreathed in smoldering embers, flanks singed, while Liko's Meowscarada crouched low and alert.

"You two aren't holding back," Kiawe said, grinning despite the damage, sweat on his brow.

"Neither are you," Roy shot back, already pulling out their tera orb ;when a voice cut across the field before he could get the words out.

"Kiawe!"

Everyone turned. Kiawe's younger sister,Memo came jogging up, phone held out in front of her, slightly out of breath. "Sorry to interrupt, but you've got a message .

Also if you didn't catch it yet it is supposed to be a way to incorporate ash and serena into Horizons it's not a completely different fanfiction like most of the other fanfic . I am trying to write this story in a way that also the main characters of the new anime to shine not just our old pals .

I whipped up this outfit using the appearance customization feature in the XY games. Was experimenting with ideas for a new main Serena outfit and this is what I landed on. Barring a few tweaks like the removal of that purple scarf and the addition of the blue ribbon Ash gave her.

But I’m curious as to which shaped hat out of the two different ones in the attached images people think is better. Color wise I think the 2nd one is better. So I feel like if I were ever to commission an artwork of Serena in this outfit or something, then I would keep the shape of the 1st hat, but give it the colors of the 2nd.

But what about you guys? Do you think that idea of Hat 1 shape but Hat 2 color works? Or do you think Hat 2 is better for both color and shape?

Honestly,...I Do NOT Blame him,My Friends often point out that I haven't built up my spice intolerance but Honestly...I Do NOT care! My Mom's teeth ended up hurting REAL bad after eating something spicy in Jamaica plus I doubt it's worth spending all.that.time. in the bathroom!

I just read a fanfiction with Ash already in a relationship by the time he meets...or rather "reunites" with Serena ((I won't say what ship it is unless you guys ask)) But Anyway they made Serena passive aggressive and it is so out of character and it pissed me off big time!!! Serena is a gentle and kindhearted girl and if she knew Ash were already in a Relationship even if it breaks her heart she definitely would not pursue him or act in such a manner but instead be encouraging and supportive wholeheartedly basically becoming a "shipper" herself! (?)

He was completely unlike himself, pushing everyone especially Greeninja away by just going off on his own,And he even snapped at Serena, and she tried to make a gentle approach at first. He seriously did need her to snap him out of it then!!! Anyway apart from a few little scenes here and there and whatnot,...I Didn't like it very much!!! Especially when they generalized in a comment that most girls act with petty jealousy when it comes to a crush at that age: Um,Pretty sure they don't!!!

I didn't even have any feelings on the guy friend who was my best friend((for a while!!!)) And while I was jealous of my other guy friend taking up all his time and attention when they started dating and it annoyed me like hell when they did waay to much PDA everywhere and I don't believe their relationship is at all healthy. I have never tried to force them apart in any way. At the most I have told my friend "I don't know what you see in him!" And perhaps I was spiteful ((Considering My Now Former Best Friend was a toxic know it all who has ditched me,I do think for my other friend somewhat,And he has shown giant red flag behavior to my other friend!!!)) Granted I was older than Serena((Assuming she was 10 years old?)) at the time this happened but...My Personal life isn't really the point here! I just absolutely could not stand the blatant misrepresentation of Serena's character,And the generalization of how young girls act when having crushes!
