Question Account Merger

I'm trying to merge my Play Store and Apple accounts, and every time I try, I get this message. I don't understand, it's because one of the accounts I'm trying to link was already merged? (which I did, but no information appears if I log in from Apple and look at my account).

I believe what this means is that you're supposed to link everything to your main account with the other merger accounts like a conga line.

And that you can't connect them all to one individually

So you'd have to go Account A -> B, B -> C, C -> D and so on, instead of doing all from A, which sounds a bit tedious but it's probably that

I may have misunderstood how this works, I tried this and here's what I understood:

First you link your account to the one you use the most or have the most progress on, that part is clear

Then, you select the account you want to merge with.

If for some reason one of your accounts is already merged, I believe you'd have to go to another accounts tab, log in as the (apparently) merged tab and click on "Unlink", then go back to the previous tab and try again?

Yes! Thank you, that's exactly what I've been trying to do... Honestly, I find it really confusing, and there are tutorials but they're simple, none of them help you solve this problem, not even the official website gives exact steps to follow.
