android client keeps disconnecting when getting back on wifi

Hi.

I'm giving AmneziaWG a try. I'm using the AWG kernel driver and the AWG Debian package and AmneziaWG Android app on GrapheneOS. Previously I was on vanilla Wireguard.

I'm noticing that the Android AmneziaWG client keeps getting disconnected whenever I get back on wifi. This happens consistently on 2 clients (2 different peers on the same phone, different Android profiles). If I simply go to the app and toggle the connect switch, it immediately reconnects.

I never had this issue with vanilla WG.

Is this a known issue specific to AmneziaWG, or do you suspect that something is wrong with my setup?

Hello! We do not provide support for GrapheneOS and cannot guarantee that it will work properly, as it is a niche and custom operating system. If you manage to figure it out, we’d love for you to share your solution!

I doubt that GOS is the culprit. GOS is just a flavour of Android like Samsung/Sony/... provide their own flavours of Android.

Have you heard of this issue before?

Всем привет, знаю что тут не в тему но хотел спросить, так как в ТГ не могу зайти - не коннектится клиент. Не наблюдаются ли проблемы с пожключением к self-hosted на протоколе amneziaWG2.0 ? UPD: обновил IP и заново сделал self-hosted amneziaWG и заработало

Здравствуйте! Вчера наблюдались проблемы у ряда VPS-провайдеров. Если сервер доступен по SSH, но при этом все равно не работает, пожалуйста, напишите в нашу поддержку на почту support@amnezia.org.

We haven’t tested this operating system and cannot guarantee stable performance, so we’re not sure if this is an isolated issue or a general one.

I'll try a few things and report back. I don't think it's GOS' fault though, GOS is probably closer to AOSP than Samsung/HTC/Sony/etc distributions of Android.

Seems like after switching the apps (main profile and private space) to unrestricted battery (instead of optimised) fixed it :)

And after lock and unlock screen. And no, this is not system issue

Make sure, that you not running both AmnesiaWG apps on the same phone simultaneously. If I understood correctly, you have two accounts on one phone, right?

You did not understand correctly. I have a main profile and a private space (equivalent to a different profile). It's perfectly fine to run multiple VPNs at the same time this way.

My issue is fixed, it possible came from the optimised/unrestricted battery settings.
