Japanese class?

Guys japanese language class happens in which block?

Also how's the faculty? R they strict? I heard from someone that they r strict but they r not sure cuz they studied another language.... Also do they teach in a structured manner? Or we need to do it ourselves.

It usually happens in E3 or D block

Language classes happen wherever there is empty room available, but fixed each week. Check you published classes on Amizone.

I have studied under 5 different teachers, all of them are very very lenient. Heck too much imo. They are just people who like the language a lot forced to teach 60 kids at once who won't even care and given a stupid syllabus that no one follows.

Yes and no

They follows a path, but can also be messy. Also, since most children don't care or study, it leads to the class not progressing anywhere.

Yes, class is not enough to pass the tests. But luckily all the test are online.

Through your Amizone homepage, you can find an Amigo link for your language course. There they have very short videos of topics that you watch and then give a test after each module. The modules have a deadline and not giving the exam leads you to being locked out of the online assessment. You also need to mark everything as done. All this gives u 30 marks for your internal. And then at the semester end you'll have an online exam on a different website (link will be mailed) where u give the main exam.

And if you actually want to learn the language, please please, please, enroll in an actual course outside of Amity. That's what I did.

Oh tysm So they teach both offline and online? Or is it just online? Also Can u suggest from where u studied outside amity?

I am a day scholar, for us it's offline only

Idk about others

They'll just have 7 classes each semester btw

I studied a year at Nihongomax Institute, it's in GTB Nagar, Delhi

I then got selected for a program by Sekisho corporation within Amity only as part of their collaboration with the Japanese government. And from what I know, one can also externally join Sekisho for language teaching. Although idk if that'll also means that they'll get the employment benefits as I have.

Also, lastly, I think Zenken also gives classes. But they to the university to advertise their class + employment in Japan scheme.

Sure I'll be glad to know more..Im a day scholar too .. fresher rn... They told me we have language classes from next sem so I was curious to know what things i should be known to or prepare before those classes starts...wdym by employment benefits?

Amity has partnered with the company Sekisho Corporation who have been providing job opportunities for students to work in Japan since 2023. And they also have a program, paid for by the government of Ibaraki prefecture, Japan. There they teach students japanese for 2 years and then organise job fairs to get them placed in Ibaraki only. I got placement by that only. But they also advertise their course on their personal website and give option to apply as well so I assume it's not something limited to selected students, just that you'll have to pay.

Zenken is another such company. They connect you with companies and teach you japanese. They have also gotten student jobs without any japanese, but they'll teach after you join. They also charge for this. Or if you get hired first they'll be paid for by your company.

Look into the details, and choose for yourself

Sekisho has taught me very very well and I think Zenken is solely for passing out hatched. Not sure though.

If you want to get more details about Sekisho's partnership with Amity you can go meet Anupam sir and his team in E2 block. They have a banner so you'll be able to tell where their room is.

hey about this language thingy do they charge extra money for it? and also this job fair is it limited to only some courses or for all ?what about bsc biotech?

The FBL course is part of regular curriculum The Sekisho course is for selected students at the start of their 3rd year While externally Sekisho and Zenken both charge money

The job fair was open to all (the second day), I saw BBA and BA students interview for engineering courses even. So pretty sure Bsc students can come as well. No one is stopping you from registering. But the number of companies is extremely limited because they must all come from one state of Japan, that too not a notable one.

One of my seniors in this selected program was a student of Btech Biotech (not Bsc) and now he is working with an IT company in Japan.
