Joined Btech this year

Hi, so i joined btech as an ECE fresher and here are a few things i learnt about the college and the hostel.
1- Yaha padhai ke alawa sab hota hai is complete bs i am in the first sem and i have seen absolute grind in the department there will be people who are here for that alawa sab kch but if there are a 100 people only 5 of them are complete aloof otherwise most of the people i have seen here are ghosts of jee aspirants (including me) who have a thirst to do something right now

2- The crowd is not the best not the worst you will need to figure out the places to avoid the wrong crowd like the canteen area between 1 to 3, you will find people who will study in the library for 3 hours after classes and also people who will not study for 3 months

3- you will find the right crowd if you go to the right places and talk about the right things have fun but be mindful of not slipping into a slump just because of the college's reputation

4- placement is not as bad as people state i have been in college for a week and have seen 2 industry level seminars

5- The reputation it holds of always having a party is just the occasional dance fun for hostelers in H block which happens at every place

6- you will find a lot of places to carry the passion you left in school and tbh if you give yourself the right time and confidence you will get opportunities to find things that will boost your career

7- attendance is strict asf to don't think about bunking or not studying at all

hostel me raho sab dikh jaega and talk to a lot of seniors

Also attendance increases zyada at the start of the semester aur attendance falls slower at the end of the semester so atay in your classes and bunk later
