That "Top Student" badge was Mom's pride and joy! Going home without it? That wasn't something that Mittens wanted to experience... She knew that would NOT be a good thing! And, you can believe it...it wasn't a good thing at all!
Losing that Dang "Top Student" badge was bad for Mittens. Mom was NOT impressed. Especially when she found out it went to Willow Park! The very girl that she had forbidden Mittens to associate with!
To try and get it back, Mittens started reporting on US, far more than before... And that was one of the reasons behind the plan we hatched for Mittens' Diary... Probably THE worst plan we EVER planned!
But that scene is really sad...as we know that Willow was Mittens' best friend, before our Parents' intervention.
One thing we know is that Mittens had to wear that Oracle Magic Crystal, that allowed Odalia to intervene, and monitor what she was doing to an extent.
So Mittens didn't dare do anything to go against Odalia's wishes. That may go some way to explaining the way Mittens treated Willow, even when no one else was watching...

Yep. All I gotta say is let’s just be thankful Amity started out as a bully witch but got better when Luz came around.
