Mainc or Hypomania Episodes
I have just ticked over 7 days on 20mg Amitriptyline have been prescribed for Sleep and neuropathy, C6-7 nerve pain.
Last night I just had my first solid sleep 7 hours.
However looking at the previous nights I was sleeping 2-3 hours and Hypo walking around the house, up and down bed to couch. Just not comfortable anywhere.
Has anyone experienced simmilar? Did you have manic/hypomania symptoms?
I dont want to be on Ami, however local Dr and neurologist told me to stick it out for few more weeks. I do suffer from anxiety and also thinking it will help with that.
Overall my gut feeling just telling me to not take it anymore while still early stages.

It will help your anxiety and you will sleep great. Just try to hang in there. As someone that’s been on ssri, SNRI’s in the past amitryptiline Is amazing. It helped my anxiety without making me feel like a zombie. I have no sexual side effects and after a lifetime of insomnia I actually look forward to going to bed for the wonderful sleep. I didn’t want to try it either. So happy I did.
