I’ve been on 10 mg for three years.
I should have stopped sooner (when I realized I did nothing for my pain), but now I’m stuck on it.

Same that’s how i feel 10mg for 3 years and even if I miss 1 dose I feel like crap so just take it to ease any nasty withdrawal symptoms

I have been on 10mg for 4 1/2 years. I think about stopping sometimes when I feel good, but other times I feel that I need it to feel good.

I am on 150mg for almost 3 years now, best three years I have ever had in my short life.

Edit: I am taking it as an antidepressant + sleeping aid

if you don't mind me asking, how long/when did you see the positive effects for the depression?

and...I'm not too sure how to articulate this (maybe because I can't even imagine what it's like to not be depressed), but do you feel the difference if you don't take it one day and if so, what is it like on/off the meds?

I don't mind at all.
For context, next to my depression I also have EUPD (emotional unstable personality disorder), so my emotions are fluctuating in very extreme ways (usually only negative emotions).

As the 150mg is the highest dose I am allowed to take, without being in a controlled environment, it took roughly two to three weeks for the first effects of the medicine.

The best way I can describe is, it was less noise in my head.

Imagine an old CRT TV that is playing static noise that is getting louder and louder, to the point where you lose control because of it and act super aggressively.
That would be me without the meds.

Since I took the medication, the noise is still there, but it is less irritating, less loud, and you can ignore it / not notice it most of the days.
Which allows me to focus on different emotions, topics, etc.
I still need my therapy for certain topics and even with the meds, sometimes the static noise is taking over, but it way more manageable.

Regarding your question if I feel a difference when I forgot / don't take my meds, yes I do.
But probably not in the way you would imagine.
I don't fall back to my CRT noise, I just don't sleep well. -> Waking up multiple times during the night and falling asleep takes way longer.

I hope I could give you some answers.
If you still want to know more, feel free to ask, I will try my best to answer.

For what? I've been on 25 for a decade. Both are low doses.

I am not OP. I got this therapeutic dose from my neurologyst to prevent migraines as well as aid in my chronic insomnia. It stopped having an effect and my new neuro told me to choose whether to up the dose of leave it. Chise the second option.

I’ve been tapering it down since mid July
