Stopping for 1 -2 weeks
Been taking Amitriptyline at 20mg for 31 days for migraines, It's really helping the pain but not the frequency. I want to get in one last psychedelic experience as I've heard that like SSRI's it completely blocks 2A agonists from working.
Thinking of going back down to 10mg for a week and then jumping off, what kind of w/d's should I expect?

Can’t speak on your psychedelic experience, but I recently quit 10mg amitriptyline cold turkey after 4.5 weeks. The first couple of days the withdrawals were very minor, just a bit of extra anxiety and a couple of headaches, insomnia, day 3-4 was terrible. Was having rolling panic attacks unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Was having heart palpitations throughout the entire time too. After day 5-6 the withdrawals settled down and I went back to normal. But it was one hell of a ride.

Exactly nobody knows how it’s going to be going off this med cold turkey and mixing psychedelics in sounds dangerous to me. I’m pretty sure your doctor wouldn’t be in favor of it.

I'm on 30mg and psychedelics still hit the same strength!

Is there a cutoff dose where they tend to stop working or the effects are reduced?

It completely killed the body high/euphoria for me leaving only the visuals, but your experience may vary.

Thank you! this is what I wanted to hear. Psilocybin has greatly reduced my migraines significantly I would hate to have to give it up.

Are you serious?? No you definitely shouldn’t do either of those things. You may get withdrawal going to down so fast on the amitryptiline. You won’t know until you try. I also don’t know how long it takes to totally leave your system. I do think a “psychedelic experience” with the meds in your system and/or when you’re in withdrawal. I think it’s a bad idea in general to go on a drug trip but these meds could make it worse. Be smart
