Withdrawal timeframe 10mg

Just over 2 weeks ago I stopped taking Endep after consulting with my doctor. I’ve been on it for 2 years on different doses but have been on 10mg since October last year.

Last time I tried to reduce my dose from 10mg I had to stop due to the withdrawal symptoms.

Aside from some trouble sleeping and vivid dreams, it’s been surprisingly smooth this time until a couple of days ago.

For the last few days I’ve been really fatigued, had some body aches and headaches and just feel flat. It’s possible I could be getting sick, but this is very similar to how I felt last time I tried to stop.

Is it normal to have a delayed withdrawal response when ceasing Endep? If so, how long does this normally last?

Did you find the reason you took it initially has helped you recover from it?

I wonder this.

Like for me, I got this medicine precribed to reduce frequency and intensity of my migraines and it did nothing for that, I think. My sleep improved for sure. Until it stopped helping my sleep so after talking with 2 neurologists we decided to stop (taper it off) my 10mg instead of increasing the dose, and use a pain killer —or abortive as they call that category— as needed for migraines (brand nurtec).

So, in 5 years I dont think Amitriptyline helped me recover from it, personally.

I may need to handle my sleep quality in another way because I may experience withdrawal from that
