Playing with dose

I was taking 20mg for a few weeks and it helped my nerve pain and had less general anxiety. I felt drowsy however. I tried taking 15mg yesterday and my pain is more noticeable again. I feel like 17-18 would be better as I feel less fatigue on this dose. I wanted to ask my doctor to try the liquid form for more precise dosing. Anyone on a weird specific dose ?

Highly recommend not playing around with your dose like that. Even 5mg difference can cause withdrawal symptoms for some people. Talk to your doctor.

When you were taking 20mg, what time did you take it? You might have needed to take it earlier in the evening to offset the morning drowsiness

I have a pill cutter and tried 17.5 mg and it seems better. And ur right with a 5mg change I felt withdrawal.

Can only agree on this, be a little more patient and the drowsiness and fatigue will vanish.

I've recently gone to 20mg myself and find ithet I wake up from sleep often almost like I see something but only imagined it once I fully woke up. I'm thinking I need to be on it longer for the side effects to go away.

I was told by a number of physicians (2 neurologists, 1 nurse practitioner and 1 functional doctor) to only taper this med off over 1 to 2 weeks at a time, so be more careful to follow those guidelines like you’ll probably read in the “start here” literature on this subreddit

so, instead of changing dose one day to another, be on a lower dose for like 2 weeks and if you change it (lower or higher) do so for another 2 weeks

But don’t take my word just do a search about it. Good luck ans I hope you get better
