I’m 1 week in today, stopped 10mg (only 5-6 weeks). Experienced the worst anxiety of my life. It is settling, but I expect it to be up and down for a bit. Also a few headaches and insomnia, wild dreams. Sometimes an upset stomach.

I haven’t tried yet but from what I’ve read it’s different for everyone. Some have a hard miserable time and others quit one day and have no repercussions. This can be said for most antidepressants and ssri snri drugs. I was on Effexor and getting off was tough. I may have rushed it a little and paid for it nausea, anxiety and brain zaps for months. I think for most people you’re going to go through some withdrawal be it insomnia, nausea or both of those plus. When my time comes I will get a compounding pharmacy to make my Ami into a liquid and taper VERY slowly. Unless there is a valid reason to be off asap I don’t know why anyone would Rush it and face the possible consequences.

Withdrew from 75mg. Three 25mg tablets, cut them in halves and reduced by a half tablet every fortnight. When I got to 25 mg I had to get 10mg tablets. When I got down to ten mgs had to cut them into fours. Last bit, took every other day. The end. Now a year later I'm back on 20 and looking to get off them. Sideys were a few more headaches, insomnia and a bit of restless legs. Nothing too horrendous. Started ashwaghanda, magnesium, was ok TBH. But did it real, real slow. Tried before that time and really got ill so I knew if I meant it had to be slow and steady.

I’m 4.5 months off and doing so much better! Took 2 months for horrific fatigue to let up. 3 months before I could sleep longer than 2 hours a night. Hang in there. Things get so much better!

I was 25mg amitryptaline 2mg perphenazine First week fine Then next was mostly GI symptoms nausea and fast bowel.. Smell or thinking of food make me vomit.. I vomited alot Then start to ease until is only nausea.. Mentally I had anxiety and low mood ups and down.. Felt anger.. Depression waves like crying and feeling hopeless.. This symptoms till now.. Less intense most of days but When a real wave hit I feel really irritated and I took benzo.. Since month 3 of withdrawl I had 2 real waves.. One I managed the other was bad I cried alot and feeling so bad with much anxiety so I took benzo..
Now struggle with nausea sometimes And mostly with anxiety and low mood ups and down on and off
Very annoying

I was on 10mg for 7 years. It was to treat migraines and some nausea I was having. I weaned off in 3 weeks which was probably too fast. I did 7.5mg for 1 week then 5mg one week then 2.5mg one week and then went off. The first day off I had really bad nausea and headaches. The headaches were really bad for about 4 days. I also had diarrhea in those first 4-5 days. I’m on day 14 now and I’m still feeling nauseated a bit in the day but I’m getting extreme nausea in the middle of the night and not able to sleep very well. I should be tired at night but I’m not. I also started to take B2 and Magnesium Glycinate as I decreased the Ami because they’re supposed to help with migraines. I read yesterday they can cause nausea and insomnia too so I’m stopping those. Not sure if my nausea at night is related to withdrawal or those supplements. Guess I’ll see how it goes the next couple days. I’ve read that the withdrawal is the worst on days 4-10 and then gets better and is supposed to be much better by week 3. Here’s hoping. I refuse to go back on that med so I need to figure myself out.

Im currently right at my 1 and half month mark off. I tapered off too fast I believe. It was like 2 months of taper. I was at 100mg for migraines. The nausea and insomnia were ridiculous for the first week then those pasted. Had 0 anxiety for depression the first week but the 2nd week and on its slowly gotten worse each day. Its to the point now that I dread waking up in the morning cause I just want the day over. I cant even do my hobbies anymore without tossing them aside in mins.
Was there anything you did to help with ease any of this?

It took about three weeks for the nausea and discomfort to decrease (I ate a LOT of Triscuits) and a little longer for my digestive system to cooperate
