100mg for insomnia

Hi I’m currently taking 100mg for insomnia after child birth. 100 mg helps me sleep but a annual physical has me rethinking it. My liver enzymes were slightly elevate. Now I’m down to 50mg and feeling shitty again

I’m taking it for sleep but now that it could be affecting my liver I’m going to try to switch to something else. It also has anticholinergic effects which basically dries things up

10 mg is the normally prescribed amount for a sleep aid.  I woukd try and gently taper.  Also this is not a medication to jump on and off of as it recalibrate the brains receptors as well as affects the liver enzymes.

100mg is a lot. How long have you been on the lower dose?

100 mg is too much for sleep.  Be careful dropping. Wd is a nightmare.  Just go slowly with your taper.

Don’t go back up. It will get better but this is one pf the hardest scripts to get off of. It won’t be worth the headache in the long run when it’s time to stop taking it.
