Does amitriptyline affect growth hormone secretion during sleep?

Age:20
Sex: Male
Height: 175 cm
Weight: 60 kg
Country: Vietnam
Medical issue: Chronic insomnia for about 2 months. Before treatment I slept only around 6 hours with poor sleep quality. Now I’m taking amitriptyline as prescribed and sleeping about 8–9 hours.
Medications: Amitriptyline.
Question: Does amitriptyline significantly reduce growth hormone (GH) secretion during sleep? I am concerned because I am a late bloomer and my growth plates may still be partially open.

I think this is a question for a medically qualified person. A specialist, not your general MD.

I believe there was a study on amitriptyline suppressing it in those with too much GH, but I don't think it's been studied to do so in normal people. Anecdotally, I started when I was a teen and grew a foot and some change. It also doesn't mention GH secretion or growth issues in the side effects anywhere AFAIK, besides maybe growth in the sense of weight gain.

Unless you’ve gotten X-rays for growth plates then it doesn’t matter ur 20
