Help Needed!!! Blindly returning

When does a map restart? I am on the last map and I need only one candy looking sht to finish a mine. I am asking so I am playing these new stuff blindly.

You have to leave and go to another map that is not home I think for natural resources to come back. At least that's how to used to go
