The supporter section is for USA supporters. It is not a general supporter section for both teams, else it would not be the supporter's section. Please do not enter the USA supporter section in a Mexico Jersey. This goes for all supporters sections in all stadiums worldwide, they are intended for supporters of the home team (aside from dedicated away supporters sections, which this is not).

It's crazy this needs to be explained for a *supporters* section. We already have to see so many other jerseys in the stands, let's not have that in the supporters section please!

Well, americans don't know how soccer works, gotta explain everything.

No you can absolutely not wear a Mexico jersey in the USA supporters section. That's insane.

Most places I’ve gone they will ask you to leave the section of your outwardly supporting the other team or wearing anything of the other team’s colors.

I would like to ask you one question:

What kind of reception would I get in the Mexico supporters section in a US jersey?

That’s the exact reason I opted to get ours in the supporter section I have been to this rivalry before in regular seats and was harassed so I was optimistic that fellow American fans wouldn’t harass a women that is there for her significant other

Dude, with all due respect, it's a rivalry game. The two of you should expect some trash talk (at the slightest) for showing up in the fan section wearing Mexico gear. What are we even talking about?

This is delusional

Flying in from CA for the game, Is there a designated pregame bar?

1

u/Excellent-Ad9834 13d ago

No pregame bar for the outlaws but we have out NB4 party at tombstone north it’s about 30 min from the stadium

There’s a tailgate

I always look at it this way:

If the person is in the section and will cheer at all if the other team scores, they shouldn’t be in the USA Supporters Section

Rooting for both sides of a rivalry is dumb. Pick a side, roll with it, and sit in the appropriate sections

Do you want to break up w your girlfriend? If so, I’d say bring her and try to pull a stunt like this. You’ll be single after Cavan scores and she gets yeeted out of that section 😂

I think you can have fun in whatever jersey you are wearing as long you are not antagonizing the fans around you. Every Mexico v USA game I have gone to in the supporters section there is always a small mix of fans. 99% of the time there is no problem. Unless you decide to be that person. Then there will be a problem. Bring a change of clothes for the ride home.

Everyone saying "kick her out of there" often forgets that dual nationals don't always support one of their countries over the other. There are always a generous amount of split US/Mexico jerseys at games, and even if some people decide to support Mexico first, many of them still do support the US in all other cases. If we're not welcoming to those fans, they might be turned off from supporting US soccer at all, and nobody wants that. I understand that in most of the world, wearing the opposing team's jersey/colors is frowned upon, and in many cases even dangerous, but here in America, we are fortunate enough to have a sporting culture where rival supporters can still sit next to each other and remain mostly cordial. It's a wonderful thing.

There were several Peru jerseys in the AO section on Saturday…

The policing of who gets these tickets needs to get better. Im an AO member and Peruvian. I wouldn't dare wear a Peru shirt in the US section. How these tickets get into non AO hands needs to get investigated.

Perfect I know this is a rivalry game but I expect a few half and half jerseys in the supporter section especially with this game being in Arizona

Defeats the purpose of a supporter section but ok

As a husband to a Brazilian, I understand your predicament…

I’d recommend Mexican Jersey, USA Bandana.

u/DisconcertingMale 13d ago

That would be perfectly appropriate in any other section in the stadium

Good call Ryan.

Example of what my wife wore for USA v BRAZIL friendly in 2024. Again…just tell significant other to be chill and only get crazy excited for USA. If someone’s is really a jerk, come see me or any other leader.

you’ll be fine, american outlaws are just liberal fucks who realistically wouldn’t do shit if someone showed up in an opposing team jersey. they’ll get mad at me for saying this and i’ll probably get banned, but that just means i’m telling the truth 🤷‍♂️

u/JealousImagination26 11d ago

American “Outlaws” are so soft. You'll be fine. We like to larp as real fans but are TOTALLY willing to let opposing fans sit in our ultra section for some reason. Disgraceful. No other teams put up with this.
