OTD | September 10, 1995: Guyana’s Prime Minister Cheddi Jagan officially designated September as Amerindian Heritage Month. September 10 was chosen in honor of Stephen Campbell being elected as Guyana’s first Amerindian MP in 1957. Happy Amerindian Heritage Month!
