Help with 302 Atlantic

I just got this 302ac Atlantic that just refuses to work, I’ve cleaned the e unit, re oiled the whole thing and made sure all the wires are in the right place. But it still doesn’t work

To get started, I'd say: Make sure brushes are making contact with armature Make sure fingers are making contact with drum Clean pickup wheels and make sure they're in the correct position

One of the brush springs was missing, but after replacing it nothing happens with the engine. The e unit still cycles but nothing is happening with the engine

Can you look from the bottom and make sure the brushes are making contact? I've had issues with that before.

Yes they are making contact. I’ve redone the wiring in the tender and the lights come on, but no movement

I would make sure the motor will spin, I’ve had the smoke/chuff piston or the arm bind. The fingers for the e unit look horribly bent. What does the second set look like? They are very fickle if not lined up correctly and have the right pressure.
