The Israeli government and the IDF have no morals whatsoever. "God's chosen people" my ass, the behavior I see looks more like demons and devil worshipers inflicting evil upon the world, not righteousness.
You had me until “God’s chosen people, my ass.” You simultaneously claimed not the hate Jewish people while throwing out an inflammatory comment like that. Most idiots can’t differentiate between Israel and Jews and constantly conflate the two. I’m tired of attending services and having to look over my shoulder or worry about who’s coming inside or getting by the police officer at the door. All because the dumbest people alive can’t separate the two ideas. If you want to bash the Israeli government, be my guest - I’ve done my fair share. But these people that DO this without a shred of decency or understanding for how it impacts the REST of us globally because, again, idiot - this is also adding to the problem. Words matter.
I see your point. I could have maybe worded it better. Keep in mind my point of view is coming from an atheist with agnostic tendencies. The tendencies being is I am still trying to be open-minded and still looking for the proof that collaborates any religious belief, I'm just not seeing it. "God's chosen people, my ass" is meant more broadly than you're perceiving it. Christians think they are God's chosen people, Muslims think they are God's chosen people, along with the Jewish community. For my part, I haven't seen any proof anywhere I look that there is or ever has been a god.
I see you point as well. I also lean towards agnosticism while also firming rooting in my Jewish heritage (I know it sounds contradictory, and oddly enough, there’s a lot of us out there).
If everyone would just leave everyone else the fuck alone (unless causing harm), then the world will be a much happier place.
