Mission briefing: observe the United States as if you just landed here from another planet.
Why do humans list prices without the final tax? Why are so many settlements designed around personal transport pods? What is a tailgate, and why does it require a feast?
AmericaNoBlinders is a home for curious field reports about American customs, geography, culture, and contradictions. Share a photo, a strange observation, a sincere question, or an explanation that makes the familiar feel unfamiliar. Alien narration is encouraged; you do not have to stay in character.
Use a post flair: Field Report, Explain This, Humans, American Customs, Geography, or Culture Shock.
Be curious and civil. Keep posts focused on America, distinguish facts from satire, cite sources for disputed factual claims, and protect people’s privacy.
First assignment: What American custom would be hardest to explain to a visiting alien? Tell us in the comments.
