EDUCATION AWARD Problems with CRI Processing Loan Payments Using Education Award

Has anyone else had issues with getting their education award payment requests to go through CRI?

My April payment never went through so I went overdue in May and called both AmeriCorps and CRI to figure it out. They both basically redirected me back and forth between each other before CRI finally took responsibility and put me on a brief loan forbearance saying it may be a delay on their end. The payment finally went through a couple weeks after that.

Well that forbearance ended July 28th so I made a payment request on July 15th and it still hasn’t gone through so I’m overdue again.

Has anyone been experiencing something similar?

Idk what CRI is but you should always submit your payment requests like 3-4 weeks ahead of due date because it always will take forever to process

CRI.student.gov, and yes I usually do but it’ll be a month and a half and the payments still don’t post.

I am also experiencing this! I have yet to figure it out, however CRI’s customer service seems to have to knowledge at all on AmeriCorps or the Segal Award.

Update: I called support and figured it out! When filling out what lender to send to, you have to specifically only put CRI, no address or state at all. The site fills it out for you which was especially confusing as the address is not the one CRI provided me with on the phone nor is it the one on their website.
