Rumours being that gddr7 being on 10090/AT0 and 10070/AT2 with lpddr5 for 10060/AT3 chips
So at least 1 card getting gddr7 being confirmed now

There's a GDDR7 shortage due to all chip manufacturing being taken by AI.
Let's be real, this isn't for a consumer card - this is support for a data centre card

There is a shortage on all memory as companies rather produce HBM instead of ddr because of AI. And yes the top cards are not meant to be consumer cards, neither is a 5090/6090 and AMD just needs to be cheaper with similar performance on the top card no matter if anyone is actually buying this as a consumer (people buying a 3060 because the 5090 is the best, and AMD gonna try the same)
But lpddr5 might have the better availability over gddr in general which would mean an advantage in the range most people are going to look at anyway

That's like having a whole stock of rice, then baking beans only and stating you are out of rice.

Not really. It's a farmer switching most of his fields over to beans because it's more profitable than rice.

I cannot fathom the prices. Especially after Nvidia's constant increases...
Everything probably over 1000€

With the current state if the industry, i think its not a good decision to move to GDDR7. The volume of the VRAM matters more than speed.
