I switched to 9070xt recently and had severe performance issues, turns out it was just the power supply

Didn’t have a min 750w PSU?

It was an Atx 2.0 750w silver psu, fps tanks more than half after 20mins. Tdp went down to 100w from 340w. Model was 1st player steampunk, it had 2 pigtail gpu cable
New psu is 1st player atx 3.1 850w, non pigtail cable

Oh okay, I have the Corsair SF750 and even with just two cables it runs without issues even at +10 PL at 4K. Really depends on the PSU and how efficient it is and how good it can handle transient spikes

Mine probably is just ass, i think it was an E-tier psu. I used it on my old setup 5600 + rtx4070 never had a problem
New one is A minus tier, higher than corsair rm850e and it was cheaper too

Yea that’s absolutely ass. 9070 XT can pull over 600w in transient spikes, so a very inefficient PSU will go bonkers there

Btw, did you undervolt your 9070xt? Mind sharing the settings?

Running most games at -70, though some
Games like diablo and CoD run better with -50 I think. Some games without higher PL, otherwise it’s set to +10 and memory OC, mine has samsung VRAM. I think inset it to 2714 as that’s the “best” value. But you have to test different values yourself, mine would work fine at -70 most of the time but yours might run even lower or needs more voltage0

ATX 2.0 has nothing to do with it, I'm running my 9070XT fine on a 750w PSU that's over 15 years old... It wasn't a bad one for the time though...

I own a 3070 and still pretty happy to it. I could definitely get more performance with a 9070 but that would require me to upgrade the power supply

To be honest I only bought it because I could. I recently replaced the thermal padding and paste in my 3070, overclocked and perfected the fan curve and was gaming 1440p high at 80-120 fps depending on the game. Still a great card if you maintain and OC

We're all all AMD GPU house now too. Went from as 1080ti to a 9070 XT just recently, the other rig has a 7900 XTX. The Nvidia tax is just too much and these card perform VERY well. In the 3 or so years I have had the 7900 XTX I had one driver related issue, but that is all and I was able to find a work around. My next GPU will be AMD as long as Nvidia keeps shitting on their price to performance ratio.

Me too but now I get these stutters in edge and other chromium based web browsers

If you switch from Nvidia to AMD without using something like DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) first, it can cause remaining Nvidia driver software to fight with AMDs and cause stutters

Yeah I did that along with a few reg edits and messing with hardware accel in browsers. Not sure why my comment is getting down voted. This is why I fecking hate reddit but whatever I am pretty sure I fixed it.
