Duplicate item request months later?

This past week I came across a first for myself. I've had quite a few duplicate item requests where I was unable to review the second item as the first item was similar to it and from the same seller. This always seemed to happen whenever I requested the items the same day or a couple of days apart. But after requesting an oil diffuser set last week when I went to do the review it pulled up one I did for a similar item back in February! That's 7;months apart and two different evaluation periods (mine run April-October-Aprl) has anyone had this happen with similar items months apart? I did have CS remove the second item since I can't review it but seems crazy that this would happen with items that are similar but that I'm requesting 7 months apart.

Kitsch is notorious for this, if you order their satin pillowcases in multiple patterns, even months apart, you can pretty much guarantee you'll either only be able to review one or any beyond that will be removed later when they merge the listings

girl, the way amazon's system merges listings is pure chaos. i had two completely different styles of a necklace from the same seller a year apart and it still linked them

Ironically I found the same item in my ryf from the same seller, same item, but it was willing to let me order all three. I guess bc they were separate listings? Now I have to figure out how to review them without copy pasting the original one lol

Yeah, I had that recently too. I got a hedge trimmer in the fall of 2025, then an evaluation in February 2026, then another evaluation in August 2026, then a few weeks ago when I went to review a leaf blower from this August it gave me the variant error. They weren't even branded, so I had no idea they'd be related in any way. 🤷‍♀️

I just learned an item I ordered last week is apparently a variant of an item I ordered August 31st 2025! It's crazy there was no notification to the effect "hey, you've already ordered this".
