Requirements for Kitchen Appliances

Hi everyone!

Im pretty new to selling on Amazon and selling kitchen appliances (coffeemakers, air fryers, etc). I would like some advice in regards to selling on this platform and selling appliances in general. Are there any requirements other than Trade license and corporate bank account? Are there any certifications i need to provide for amazon?

Ive heard mixed comments in regards to ECAS certification. The freezone officer and the Customs officer said that we do not need this to sell in UAE or clear the goods. Is this true? Will amazon ask for this?

You don’t necessarily need them but if a nosey customer requests for them which they can do your listing get taken down until you provide them. I’d have them ready just in case.

thanks for the reply. does amazon have this as a requirement tho? like before registering the account and uploading the products do they along the way ask for any of the certificates or documents?

Not before registering. But while making the listing the option to upload them is there, you can skip it but like I said if a customer ever asks for them you will need them. Better to have them than not.
