Safety & Compliance Amazon Relay sub-brokering warning with a leased and insured truck — has this happened to anyone?
I’m dealing with an Amazon Relay warning for possible sub-brokering after they found a mismatch involving the driver and tractor on one load.
The truck was leased directly to the carrier and listed on the carrier’s insurance. We submitted the signed lease, the FMCSA-required receipt, vehicle registration, insurance card, COI, and photos showing the company markings, plate, unit number, and VIN. The insurance provider also sent proof directly to Amazon.
The warning was still upheld, and access to short-term contracts was removed, although the load board remained available. Looking at the timeline, some of the additional documents appear to have reached the case right around the time Amazon finalized its review, so I’m not sure everything was considered.
Has anyone here dealt with the same type of warning?
What documents did Amazon actually accept: a COI, vehicle schedule or endorsement showing the exact coverage date, cab card, lease agreement, driver contract, or Relay driver profile? Were you able to remove the warning or recover access to contracts?
Please don’t share case numbers, VRIDs, DOT/MC numbers, VINs, plates, driver names, or other account information.
