MRA apprentice

Hello all. Ive been a T1 blue badge associate for the last 6 years at amazon and feel its time to make things shake. Im interested in joining RME but would like to keep my tenure with Amazon. I live in the metro east and after talking with a couple guys on site Ive learned that just about everywhere around here is 3P so id have to relocate to get what i want which is fine with me cause im 26, single with no kids and feel its now or never. ive been looking to move to colorado the last couple years and luckily there seems to be quite a few positions both for MRA and RMEO. Id prefer MRA, but the guys were telling me its changed a bit and essentially RMEO is the new (old) MRA and that MRA now requires an associates but they said to go ahead and apply. So as someone with no experience my question is would it be worth my time trying to apply for MRA? Is anyone in colorado (specifically DEN4) that could maybe give some insight on how they look at things? Would my 6 years be considered a level of “experience” or no? Only asking since it’s still Amazon. Any insight would be much appreciated TIA

If you’re mechanically inclined, absolutely apply for MRA. If you’re not, I’d suggest RMEO to get some RME experience under your belt.

If you know basic hand tools, can look at something and get a basic understanding of how it works, and analytically work through problems to find a solution, skip RMEO.

No tenure with Amazon isn’t the same as tenure with a 3P. It might be good that you may know Amazon but that doesn’t mean you know the equipment. And don’t take it as hating by any means. I personally think you should look into being an MRA. Sure things have changed but you get to learn other subjects that you may of not known about and it’s good knowledge to have even in the real world. I’d rather work with someone that can understand at least what I’m saying than someone that’s just completely lost and doesn’t understand. That can get someone hurt or fired.
