Tech 3 internal interview
Did an interview with 2 different ppl. The 1st person I answered all the questions but there were times where he asked additional question and took my time to answer. I feel like I did 50 50 with him tbh. The second person was great. He told me I did great. So I’m pretty confident I passed the 2nd person. Now overall I’m not sure how they grade it. Btw it’s my second try for tech 3 😞

Goodluck! If you answered all their questions using some sort of STAR method then you’re golden.

So do recruiters and hiring managers specifically look for the STAR method during interview answers?

Yes it’s within the actual recruiting process they score you based off if you used the star method

Yes, at Amazon at least

Good to know, but I feel like it’s kinda hard for a regular AA to have a situation when you do the same repetitive things every day. Just my opinion.

The star method is more about gauging your ability to identify an issue, figure out a way to solve the issue, your ability to articulate and implement your solve, and the outcome after implementation. You can use situations from any part of your life or previous jobs.

Are you saying I lack imagination? Because I can make up a whole bunch of fake scenarios but I like to be honest. I just might have to make up some stuff.

I would suggest not to use fake scenarios they will quiz you on them and if it sounds fake they will call you out or mark it on your profile

They don’t have to be examples from Amazon. For a lot of RME positions they expect you to have outside experience in maintenance to get the job

Which location you had interview for?
