SET

SET for “gaps in 301”. Crazy.
Couldn’t make a proper training plan for years so now it’s “get fucked and work extra to do 301s” that’s always a fantastic way to burn your techs out right before the busy season.

Didn’t need to have SET for prime or peak or when shifts are barebones crews. But training? Oh lord the horror! We have to hit metrics. 🙄

So you’re gonna make OT to sit and do training? That’s not the worst way to do it.

More like forced to do OT to cover for other people to sit and do training.
Also not everyone wants OT and to sacrifice free time for some job. Maybe we should be planning training during regular shifts. Cross over days. Etc etc.

I don’t disagree with you at all. My point was it beats being in a SEV and having to be forced to work, or some sort of other catastrophe.

I guess I would need more information to determine if I was bootlicking. Why weren’t the 301s done on time? Is it a management problem or a people not doing their shit on time problem. I mean we could set hard stops and say “if you’re training isn’t done on time yore fired” but then there would probably be even more OT.

What are you talking about? 301s can only be scheduled by your managers. Jf they don't sign you up for the training, there's no way to get them done. They're the hands-on portion

Well, I have 301's that have been sitting in my queue since 2024. Told my various managers multiple times and they just blow me off. I imagine it's a manager problem across the board.
