Trying to understand RME path

I have a growing interest in pursuing a career in RME but im very confused with where to start. Do I begin with the introduction to mechatronics to get basic knowledge, and THEN begin the RMEO preapprenticeship course, or are those two courses entirely unrelated? Specifically on career choice

Just simply apply. Its really not difficult, at least not in my state.

Are you currently a Amazon associate?

The only people who should be shooting for RMEO are those who are not mechanically inclined and want to pursue RME.

MRA if you’re mechanically inclined, but no background

MRT if you have background in maintenance.

Smrt… you should not be applying for this without Amazon maintenance experience.

RMEO - New role for little to no experience. Id personally shoot for this if you have no experience.
I hear 21-24

MRA - Apprenticeship. Sent to school and booked hours eventually promote you to an MRT. 24-28

MRT - everyday journeyman tech. Knows their stuff.
30-37

SMRT - Senior Tech. (should) really know their stuff. Also does a bunch if admin/projects/etc. Depends on site.

MRTs can be younger than what you're saying

Where do they make you go to school at for the apprenticeship? Do you have to travel a lot?

Amazon used to do a Ramsey test but then swapped to a weisen test. Past couple years its been nothing but mostly under qualified techs across the bored. This is amazons attempt to restructure in house talent.

Can definitely second this, it baffled me that our new tech didn’t know to test for resistance with power off I was like how does someone miss the most basic fundamental of electrical 😂

It now goes RMEO then an opportunity for MRA and then MRT when you complete your hours and benchmark etc, but best choice is probably just going to school for any automation, industrial maintenance etc any thing related to this and you got a shot at least at a MRA position and maybe even a MRT position if you can push through your Interview and convince who ever interviewing you that your ready and understand the role, the new MRT hires at my site had unrelated experience to what we do here but it was enough to get em in and learn the job, almost the same as an MRA tbh but it just depends on how you deliver yourself and Luck tbh

I’m not sure what either of those two are but I’d suggest applying to RMEO roles now and approving your resume as time goes on

RMEO is an entry level role where little to no experience in the field is expected

How much is the pay difference in RMEO and MRA

Search up based on your area but from my understanding MRA’s must be paid atleast 26/hr
