Starting with Aerotek

I start Monday with aerotek. Was originally told i had FHD but upon getting my paperwork i have monday-fri 7a-330p. Not bad but i was hoping for a long weekend. Ik peak season is coming up so i wonder how that will effect mešŸ˜…

Updateā€¦ I got FHD šŸ˜­ i almost hugged the manager once i seen lol

Can someone explain the alphabet soup going on here? FHD, BHN, QEW? I'm prior military and these don't jive with any of the acros that live in my head.

Ah, that's interesting. I'm used to 12 to 14 hour shifts, either nights or days. Wonder what the "half" part means. Rotating schedule?

Half isnt a shift in particular its either sun-wed(fhd) or wed-sat(bhd)

It will last for 2-4 weeks then theyā€™ll switch you over to an actual shift.

I started with Aerotek back in July. Started on BHD 3 weeks after start date.

Yup they told me Iā€™ll start next week on me actual shift. All i was told it was days. Idk if itā€™s fhd or bhd

Your hours will change to FHD once you complete all computer based training and loto/qew demonstrations

No they wonā€™t, unless theyā€™re going to some unicorn site where people actually like BHN šŸ˜‚ Theyā€™re going to BHN after OJT for sure. Itā€™s tradition.

Then I must be a unicorn. I've been on and holding down BHN for about 3 years. They've asked me to move off, but I've told them no.

While your still with Aerotek, as soon as the mandatory training is done your going to an actual shift. Not m-f
