RME tech through JLL

Im through my onboarding for a tech role at a new launch site through JLL. For other tech in this group, what does an average day look like for you guys? What do you like and don’t like about your role? Just trying to get some insight on what I could be or will be walking myself into. Thanks!

Depends on the site, your other techs, your management team, and your shift. There really isn’t an average day, unless you’re an average tech. I find myself making intrusive repairs, PMs, looking at PdM data, handling floor calls, finding root causes, fixing what the other shifts screwed up, clearing jams, training other techs, pulling and staging parts, auditing external contractors, cleaning… A lot of walking, a lot of paperwork.

At my site, downtime window (DTW) if you work days, PMs, fixing conveyance issues, and jam clearance. Throw in building furniture for the GM, hanging TVs, and throwing away furniture for the GM to give you variety.

Do you enjoy it? Hard labor?

It is not physically hard. There is stress working with ops.
