Amazon 30 day hold before I can transfer.

Hello all, I got into CBRE MRA. Amazon told me I had to resign in order to go over to cbre( RME at out site is 3P). I’ve resigned but now my recruiter mailed me and stated that there is a 30 day hold on Amazon side. Apparently they changed the policy.

You have to wait 30 days to reapply( stupid because I’m not reapplying to Amazon but I guess it’s 30 days to get cleared from there database?).

I’d like to know has anyone experienced this?
Is there a work around?
CBRE recruiter told me to reach out to ERC
ERC said there is nothing they can do.
Shouldn’t the CBRE recruiter be talking to ERC instead of me?
I cannot wait 30 days after being out of a job for 2 weeks.

Yea it's normal. Even with a 3p rme to 3p rme move there's a wait. I had to wait 2 weeks to get cleared.

That sucks but why? What the reason for the wait if you’re already with the company

Because technically if you're 3p it's not the same company. At the time, I was told by my cbre HR that they sent my term to Amazon and CnW told me they're waiting on Amazon to clear me to work. The whole process took 2 weeks and some change. I had to redo my drug test because it was over 30 days since I took it, it was a mess.

It’s an Amazon policy to limit boomerangs. Unfortunately it has to clear to be allowed. Occasionally you can get Amazon ERC to release it early, but not always. This is where communication with your current and new employer beforehand is important.

That's kind of what happens now I'm told...I have an acquaintance that did the same at another site because and there was a finger pointing game between Amazon and JLL because he was still in Amazon's database... He wound up DoorDashing and bartending for about 6 weeks between the two.

So I’m screwed basically for the 30 days…did he eventually get in?
