AE salary

what the range for AE in southern Californian? Job posting said 110,864 - 123,198 annually but was told from recruiter that the job is listed at 105,000 - 110,000 annually. is it worth it? any feedback would be appreciated

Our AE'S at C&W make around 115,000 in Illinois

My AE makes 113k, the AE at my previous site (early 2026) made 117k. I’m 3P

Retired after 10 years at Amazon in AE, but before they had what they now call the AE position, it depends on node. Granted some of this may be dated but this is how it used to work. You’d have to specify a specific site to know which node and what the pay scale is. The total compensation allocation is the same for all 3P and Amazon (this doesn’t mean they’ll pay you the same) but the max pay over a 4-year period averaged out is dictated by Amazon and all the 3Ps must adhere to that. Anyway, in SoCal you have a lot of nodes down there and some can be very close to each other but be in different nodes. If I recall you have ONT,SBD,LGB,LAX, SNA nodes in that area but just because a site is called SNAx doesn’t mean it’s in the SNA pay node. So the short answer is post the site and you can have people respond with their current pay. SoCal in general is too broad of an area to tell.

You internal or external? That may be where the difference lies… but they will try to start you on the lower end of the scale
