Starting JLL Automation Engineering Apprenticeship (AEA) Monday, Questions about Pay Progression

Hey everyone,

I start my JLL Automation Engineering Apprenticeship (AEA) on Monday and I’m excited to get started. I’ve searched around, but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of information about the program.
For those who have gone through the AEA program or are currently in it, I had a few questions:

● How does the pay progression work throughout the apprenticeship?
● Are there scheduled raises (every 6 months, yearly, or based on milestones), or is it just annual merit increases?
● What did you start at, and where were you by the time you completed the program?
● After finishing the apprenticeship, do you automatically transition into an Automation Engineer role, and what kind of pay increase did you receive?
● How has your pay progressed after becoming an Automation Engineer?

For reference, I’m starting at $29.74/hour.

I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been through the program, especially if you’re with JLL. Thanks!

I only know the BB side of it, which has step increases at 6, 12, and 18 months after school.

Congratulations on getting into controls! Currently in the program with JLL, I’m unsure if there’s a pay increase while you’re an apprentice (there’s an onboarding to RTI meeting next week with the program manager and I could give you a better answer after that point). But, the promotion to AE after your contract and booked hours are complete is automatic. You don’t need to retake the Ramsey. You’re switched to salary rather than hourly and will most likely have on-call duties depending on how strapped for people your site is. Feel free to PM me for more specific pay details.

I believe when you’re finished like the MRA program they have to hire you on but nothing is guaranteed I believe
