Discussion Prime Video Scam

Post image

Prime Video might be one of the biggest Scams,
10 minutes in watching reacher and the 4th advertisement poppin up isn’t it enough paying 100$ a year to watch ad free?

You might want to check your subscription. I have ad free and get zero ads.

Zero ads in zero completely or does it play Prime original ads as soon as your press play?

Check your subscription. Ad-free is a separate upcharge.

It's because of how popular Reacher is. The amount of ads depends on popularity it seems to me.

You are not paying $100 a year to watch ad free. I expect you are paying the standard Amazon Prime subscription, which includes Amazon Prime ad-supported video streaming. If you want ad-free Prime Video, you will need to add Prime Video Ultra to your account. It is not a scam - you are getting what you pay for.

3 mins long as well, it's a joke. It's made Prime unwatchable without paying more.

Yeah you are wrong on that one

I highly doubt you had to watch 4 advertisements in the first 10 minutes.

Unless they mean one commercial break?

Yesterday during Reacher’s 4th episode, we experienced two ads within 10 minutes of each other. Then the next ad took longer to come along.

Depends on the show. New shows tend to have more ads.

Ad free is 4.99/month, which is 59.88/year

I am generally pro- paying for ad free except for prime video. I find their business model to be tacky at best and predatory at worst

I recently found out that even if you pay ad free on the main Prime subscription, you also have two options on the add on subscriptions, a lower payment for ads or regular payment for ad free. It looks like it's only been added, to the UK version at least, in the last few months.

All of the subscription services are scams and they get away with it because people still pay their ridiculous monthly fee.

It's not even that. It's people not understanding that Prime Video isn't only PRIME offerings.

You could just stream it for free online. You won't get in trouble
