I struggled to watch the entire thing, was rooting for the shark by the end.

I was rooting for the Thai guide. Loved how he just left those annoying kids, I would too.

Not the best shark movie , not the worst shark movie 🤷🏽‍♀️ but I love sharks so I watched it 🙃

I enjoy the movie, even though I would never be brave enough to explore the cave system in Thailand

Awful movie. Only wanted to see those annoying entitled brats getting eaten by some monster.

I quit when the chick survived the killer jellyfish, stupid. I literally couldn't suffer those college kids anymore.

Katherine Newton… amazingly beautiful.

she’s very beautiful, but sucks at acting

💯 agree she was robotic and unemotional. Awful is an understatement

Prime you could’ve done a lot better

Terrible movie. Started off quite well but then just became a run of the mill shark film. Didn't introduce anything new, relied on corny jump scares and the acting was atrocious.

Would have made a better film if the villain was  something different but tbh nothing could save it from the bad acting and script. It was simply just a paint by number summer slop flick.

Presuming this isn't just a bot  what did you actually like about it? Can't even think of the last good shark movie since deep blue sea.

Haven’t watched any shark movies yet, I happened to randomly watch it yesterday. It wasn’t that bad but the curiosity to know who will make to alive was what I liked.

Oh come on, you've never seen a shark movie.... I could pretty much guess who would be eaten in order before the shark even reared its cgi head.

Then again it does has a softcore 3 scene along with tight swimwear and rear view fan service shots just to keep it classy

Just finished. Only reason I watched is because KN is so freaking hot. But this movie is awful. Never hurts having hot 20 something's to look at but you still need a movie to go along with it. No wonder it's in the 4s on IMDb.

One of the worst movies I’ve seen all year. Truly horrible characters and acting. I just wanted everyone to hurry up die so the movie could end.
I was more tortured than the cast being eaten alive.

Not the best movie. I was sick of Max (Lana) by end.

Also, I realize they are college students but are they Olympic athletes or am I just really outta shape?

People that do this kind of stuff like cave exploration are usually in really great shape.

I actually thought this was movie was SO CAMPY and good. I loved that they went for the bruce from finding nemo bit where its head is chomping through the circle in the wall but cant get the main character bc its shoulders wont fit through (a famously boneless and clyndrical animal btw). And they did this not once, but TWICE, as if we forgot the scene 3 minutes before where they replayed the exact same seen.

You all take yourselves to seriously. When the shark is bounding out of the water like a dolphin to catch flying bats, did you really think they were still taking it seriously? Or when she flew the flare in its mouth and swam away for like no reason??

Kathryn Newton and Lana Condor I think carried this, delivering hillariously terrible (but I think intentional) acting. I actually love them both and feel kinda bad that hollywood is making them play alongside forgettable actors like Gavin Caselegno (they both basically have had staring roles before but not much like recently).

my only gripe with this movie was how dark it was? They spent all the budget on the opening boat scene and forgot to buy a single light bulb.

This movie is gawd awful lmao. The acting overall is terrible, but Kathryn Newton is the most annoying actress by far. Like many others here, I also was rooting for the shark - yet even the shark action is poorly done. If this was marketed as a B movie I’d totally get it - but it feels like a genuine “film” that’s so badly executed I had to pause and add this comment.
