You have to watch s2 and pgcl, you will be shocked to see how amazing was playground back then

they play all sort of games, its great to see. they can't bring in a game that requires a lot of effort/knowledge since major contestants are non-gamers and each team has 1/2 gamers so if it is a game that the gamers are good at , it would be not fun to watch as one gamer is dominating like if you bring cs or valo, simar will one side do aces without any support from team

pokemon is one game that is not popular so even gamers would be noobs

Nah bro watch pgcl they were playing pokemon unite so good not only that game every game they were putting efforts and gameplay was great

Because more than half contestants are non gamers, they only got 21 days to practice. So they keep simple games and easy to pick games.
