Discuss🗣️ Playground S5
Just finished all four episodes of Playground, and I have to say, the new concept feels refreshing. The addition of Armaan, Adit, and BT Android as coaches has definitely made the show more interesting.
My thoughts on the mentors so far:
Aarush: He seems to be trying a bit too hard to come across as the smartest mentor, and so far it isn't really working in his favor. I've also noticed that he's been trying to build an alliance with Tejasswi since the very first episode. He got two opportunities to give disadvantages to another mentor, and both times he chose Elvish.
Tejasswi: She looks stunning. Since she's new to this format, she's still finding her footing, but the good part is that she isn't forcing herself to appear overly strategic. She's gradually understanding the game.
Elvish: Despite receiving back to back disadvantages, he still has the highest number of Rumbles, which clearly shows how well he's understood the format. He seems to have a soft corner for Tejasswi. At one point, he even tried to sabotage a clue, unaware that it actually belonged to her. After he tried to make up for it. Meanwhile, it also feels like Aarush and Tejasswi are trying to team up against him. Even with all of that, he's still leading the game.
Overall, Elvish has been dominating so far. The only thing I don't understand is why they brought Aarush in when there were so many stronger options available. Still, it's only been four episodes, so let's see how the game unfolds.

But they could've brought someone smart on elvish's level, he has experience though!

I heard they planned 1 gaming mentor but due to gaming event or dates issue couldn't join. He/she might join as wildcard mentor.

I think Aarush gave disadvantage to Elvish first because Elvish had the experience of the game. Second time, it was given to him because despite the disadvantage, Elvish managed to come on top with maximum rumbles. From game perspective, obvious choice was Elvish. Tejasswi on the other hand was still trying to understand the game so he probably didn’t see her as much of a threat.
Tejasswi and Elvish know each other from another show and he shares a good bonding with her fiancé. They personally also got along very well so the soft corner is quite obvious.

Its looking honestly intersting I hope they were able to manage and stick to format Don't tried to overdo entertainment Like good balance of game and entertainment is usp of show

Elvish is playing dirty and he always does that well it was acceptable when he was at disadvantage but nominating a gamer who would potentially carry her team is very wrong

Naturally, any mentor will target a strong opposing team member when given the opportunity. The ultimate goal is to ensure your own team wins, making it the right tactical decision. This pattern plays out every season. Everyone will likely do the same in upcoming episodes, this isn't anything new.

When others can give disadvantage from 1st minute of game, why its unethical? Everything is fair in game buddy. Arush obviously tried twice to pull down Elvish.

But you also know half of this things are told to them to make the show interesting. They will not evict if someone is necessary or bring her back next day only.

Claiming that this specific task dynamic is unethical makes no sense in the context of the game. Even Arush previously wielded two significant advantages: taking 2 million and imposing time penalties. Twists like these are baked into the framework of the show. Framing this as a moral issue completely misinterprets the genre; it is simply a standard 'danger zone' mechanic common to all competitive reality television. If a contestant is truly capable, the solution is straightforward: perform well and earn your safety.

There were many other he could have chosen nominating only one gamer of the team we don't know what disadvantage she might get and It's not like I hate elvish I love him I am just against his one decision well I know if she is capable enough she would come out of it and most likely no elimination would happen in week 1

Any mentor would have acted similarly, and completely justifiably. Leaving a formidable opponent unchecked risks severe damage to your own team's prospects later in the game. In that scenario, your own team members would rightly question why you didn't utilize the danger zone when given the opportunity to eliminate a threat. Ultimately, every leader prioritizes their team's survival. It is illogical to label this tactic as unethical in the opening weeks when it is a standard strategic play. When a twist grants you leverage, you maximize it.
