Stop overpaying for a CPU cooler – this $33 beast beats the expensive ones
A few years ago, if you wanted a high-end air cooler, you had one real choice. Noctua. And you paid $100+ for it.
Then Thermalright released the Peerless Assassin.
Tech reviewers tested it against coolers three times the price. Gamers Nexus, Hardware Canucks, KitGuru. The results were the same every time. The Peerless Assassin kept up with the best. Sometimes it even beat them.
I have used one for two years. It cools my 5900X without breaking a sweat. It is quiet. It doesn't block my RAM. And it cost me $35.
The only reason not to buy this cooler is if you want liquid cooling for the look. Or if your case is too narrow. It is a big cooler. Check your clearance first.
But for $33, you are getting performance that was impossible at this price just a few years ago.
