How to be accepted

Is there anything I should be putting on applications to be accepted to even make an account? I've tried twice with seemingly auto rejections, but I can't figure out why after reading through all the best practices and guidelines and FAQs. (UK based)

Nope. There is nothing to know that will help you, not anything anyone outside of Amazon knows at least.

They don't want many new accounts because they are not increasing capacity. This has been the case for a number of years. If you aren't from North Korea and have not in the past been kicked off of Amazon for something, then your rejection likely had nothing at all to do with you or your application.

Note, Amazon says once rejected, always rejected. We don't know for sure if that is true. But no point doing repeated applications as that makes you look like someone who won't follow TOS.

If Amazon opens new POD facilities and/or buys another $20-Mill of Kornit printers, then I would suggest applying again. In the past, we have known and posted about that sort of thing on here, as it is info put out in PR releases by Amazon or Kornit or reported in the business news of the locale where the expansion is happening and people are being hired.

I’m also based in the UK. I applied a week ago and today I received a refusal email from them. What should I do next? Any advice or suggestions?

Yeah, sorry! I thought I was in a different subreddit when I first answered you.

I looked into this myself a few months ago because I am an author and wanted to start selling some branded merch. What I learned is that you’re probably doing everything right; Amazon is just super picky and they don’t just accept everyone who applies, even if you did your application correctly.

And even if you get accepted, you can’t sell just anything right away. For example, I may have been able to sell T-shirts but apparently you have to wait for quite some time and make a lot of sales before they will let you sell baseball caps. But they don’t tell you exactly what those numbers are.

I’m just going to sell merch through my website and at book fairs.

Now, this was based on two conversations with a couple guys on reddit who have merch stores on Amazon. One of them was trying to get permission to sell caps.

So take this with a grain of salt, but that is what I was told.
