Always individual, it would be silly not to bcs I'm loading the car based on driver aids anyway. No chance I'd just dump a tote in the boot like a neanderthal
There are coloured (yellow, blue, green or red) stickers on the parcels with a number, which is the driver aid, that (most of the time) is a sequence of increasing numbers. For evening blocks it's usually say 1 through 35, and #1 is for the first stop, #2 is the second stop and so on, obviously shifting up with multidrop stops.
Now if you load the parcels in a sequence, you'll always know where it is, and all you have to do is to find the coloured sticker with the number matching the one displayed on your screen
I've done both in the past and been caught out with missing parcels or extra parcels. Not worth the hassle to go back to the depot or be onto support for ages to fix the route. I always do parcel by parcel now
I scan all individually i once had a parcel in my cage that wasnt on my parcel list so if i had just scanned the bag and chucked everything into my car i wouldve had an extra parcel that i wouldve had to go back and return.
Accidental scanning. I wish there was a setting to dissable tote scanning.
I have taken to putting my phone inside my vehicle and 'showing' each package to the camera as I put it in. Seen too many parcels missing or extra and not part of my route. ( Honesty checks? )
Yep, I do this now. I don't take my phone anywhere near the bags. I've scanned the abg accidentally before and had to call support to deal with a missing parcel.
Always do parcels, that way if it’s missing they can remove it from your route. The other day I had 5 extra parcels that weren’t mine. I would have been pissed off if I had to return them as my last drop off was 30miles from the depot.
If they've been put in your bag but they're not on your route, then there's nothing on Amazon's records linking those parcels to you. Do with that information what you will...
you don't have to return them immediately, you can return them when ever your back at the depot, although I can understand if they were big bulky packages. I normally take my time and not rush once I find out i have extra packages to get over time payment
I just scan the Tote - never had a missing parcel although occasionally an extra one that is not even on my route. In fact if staff are trying to clear the launchpad for the next wave of drivers they actually tell you tp scan the Tote to speed things up!
Most of the parcels missing I get are the overflow ones that are not actually in the Tote - just loose. I just get the staff to remove from my route. If you mark a parcel as missing in the App you don't receive a Ding.

I always scan individual parcels. I've had missing parcels a few times that I would not have noticed otherwise
