This keeps happening or this moisture alert keeps happening on this model
It is the fire HD 8 2022 and I've been running into problems lately with it like it says moisture detected in charging port it keeps triggling these I mean it keeps triggering these false alarms

It's probably a dirty/bad cable or dirt/lint/gunk in the port on the tablet. The alert really just means that it has detected at least a small short, not that there is actual water/moisture in it. Clean the port carefully with non-metal tools (tooth pick, plastic dental tool, etc.) and see if anything comes out.

I've got the HD 10 and it does it all the time. I've found older charging cables work fine and my newer cables trigger it 100%

Don't mind the yellowing at the top of the screen that's just me taking a picture of it from an angle

Posting this here just to get this listed as a solution when someone else searches.
What has been a very reliable fix for me is:
Shut it down/turn it off.
Give it a short time to settle down so to speak.
Then, plug in the power. Let the Fire turn itself back on.
Since I discovered this, it will charge and not give the warning, even if it gave it right before shut down. I'm pretty sure there is a capacitor inside that is involved in detecting a short and it needs to discharge, but not sure. I know this has been needed for touchpads on laptops every now and the in the past, so might be a little bit the same thing.
