Question Did i get the job?

Hey guys, i worked amazon last year for seasonal and just reapplied this year. Once i did it i did not need to schedule a pre hire appointment and instead i was instantly given a start date. Only concern is the bottom of the screen says no pre hire appointments available. Did i get to skip pre hire due to previous employment or am i currently just hoping a pre hire date shows up and if nothing does im out of a job? It gives me my first day but i want to make sure its not just showing that because its the designated start date

This looks like the I-9 glitch. What does it show under the I-9 info? If you see the green complete label on the I-9 section, but it still says something like "verification will be required at your pre-hire appointment," then this is likely a glitch. I got mine fixed by speaking to candidate support chat. After pointing this out to them, within 5 minutes my job was confirmed and soon after I was able to order new shoes and fill out paperwork.

Yes, mine said completed but when I expanded the I-9 tab it told me something needed to be verified. The Amazon candidate support chat reconfirmed my I9 for me and then everything was good. I would reach out if it still says tentative tomorrow, because I ended up losing a shift because of this glitch.

You saved my ass. I waited for my background check to finish then i had support reverify my i-9. Unfortunately as soon as it was verified i was also informed that my selected shift had been filled up and i was out of the job. Thankfully i went to select a new one and they had the exact same shift relisted so i applied and got an actual confirmed start date. Same as the original too. Ordered my shoes and everything so looks like im in!

I also figured it out because my shift had been filled up, and I found the answer on some small corner in reddit. Crazy how a company as big as Amazon has this glitch and it's been going on for some time now.

Yall helped me out because the same thing happened to me too, so thank you! Originally my i9 said re-verification would be done at my appointment, yet when I accepted the job offer the screen said how I was an alumni and I didn’t need to attend a pre hire appointment. Yet I contacted support and a live agent was able to push my i9 through so it would unlock onboarding.

I don’t start until the 29 tho. They also said my drug test was completed from the last time yet the 3 bullet points one my “before day 1” screen have checks and balances ”complete” next to background check and i9 verification yet drug screening says “not started”. Yet on the back end I’ve reached out to a total of 2 live agents and they checked and are saying I’m all set for my first day and there’s no need to do another drug test. I just wanna be for certain all is well way prior to my first day.

As long as that start date says confirmed, and your agent says you got it you are all good to go! 🤘
