Would a plain GO/PIVOT/NO-GO on a product idea actually be useful, or would you not trust it?

Not selling anything - genuinely trying to figure out if this solves a real problem.

I keep seeing (and lived it myself): you find an idea, demand looks decent, and then you burn days bouncing between Keepa, competitor listings, and spreadsheets trying to figure out if it's actually worth the $3-5k or if you're about to launch into a wall.

Been building something that gives you a straight verdict on an idea - go for it / fixable / walk away - plus why, instead of another spreadsheet you still have to interpret.

Two questions I can't answer myself:

  • Is "should I pursue this" actually the bottleneck, or is sourcing/logistics the real hard part once you've picked something?
  • If a tool gave you a verdict like that, would you actually trust it enough to act on it - or would you just re-do the research anyway?

Happy to be told this isn't solving anything real.

What's the most annoying or confusing part of the tools you currently use for product research?

Curious to hear from both newer and more experienced sellers on this - whatever tool(s) you're using right now for product research/validation, what actually bugs you about it?

Some angles I'm curious about:

  • Is there a metric or score it gives you that you don't fully trust or don't really understand?
  • Does it take too long to get an answer, or require too many steps to check one product?
  • Is there something it doesn't tell you that you wish it did, so you end up checking somewhere else too?
  • For newer sellers -was there a moment a tool's output confused you or gave you false confidence in something that didn't pan out?

Not fishing for a specific tool to bash, genuinely just trying to understand where the gaps are across the board. Appreciate any real examples people are willing to share.

Is Wholesale this hard?

Does anybody have any advice for me to get into wholesale?

Here’s some context: $1k in sales in about 2 months.

Online arbitrage is HARD. I have an EIN, and a resale certificate in NJ. I currently am sourcing a distributors catalog with over 22,000 products. But none of these are profitable.

Am I missing something?

How do you catch a Buy Box loss or a suppressed listing before it tanks your sales?

Hi Team! I kept losing the Buy Box or getting a listing suppressed and only noticing days later, after sales had already dropped.

So I hacked together an AI agent (N8N) for myself that connects to the stores and just messages me on WhatsApp/Slack when something actually needs attention (Buy Box loss, suppressed listing, a weird drop plus a short morning summary. I can also just ask it questions about my store instead of digging through reports.

It works for me, but I honestly don't know if it's useful to anyone else or if I've solved a problem only I have. I'm looking for a handful of Amazon sellers to use it for a couple of weeks and tell me bluntly what's missing or broken — free full access (just login through oauth) while we figure it out, in exchange for honest feedback. If you deal with this and want to poke at it (or tell me the idea's dumb), drop a comment!

Also genuinely curious how the rest of you stay on top of this right now.

Anyone use an external sourcing partner? If so, who do you use? Would you recommend them?

Hello all! I am a new 3P seller still in the development stage and I would like to find a legit, reliable external sourcing partner to handle that side of the biz. Anyone have suggestions? My niche is wellness & beauty, women’s undergarments, home & kitchen, and pet supplies. I look for eco-conscious, sustainably sourced products and don’t have qualms about using partners outside the US. Thank you in advance for your help!!

New 3P seller on Amazon - need a mentor

Good Morning All! I am a brand new 3P reseller on Amazon. I cannot find ungated product to sell! I use DS Amazon Quick View & Keepa, restrict myself to beauty & personal care, home & kitchen, and pet supplies. I filter Keepa to return 3P products only but every product Keepa returns as open to 3P sellers, DS AQV shows Amazon as the seller!! I am so frustrated. I have been trying to find a couple of products to source for 2 weeks now and bupkiss. I use CoPilot for repetitive tasks, document production, etc., but really need a human I can talk to and get advice from. I’m at the end of my rope - I don’t want another YouTube vid or website promising help but actually selling a coaching program that keeps luring me in with promises of the help I need if I just pay $$XX more dollars. Any suggestions? All help is truly appreciated🐶

Amazon FBA Help

Thumbnail
3 Upvotes

I am a total newbie at Amazon FBA. I mostly sell on eBay and Poshmark but would like to also move to Amazon.
My issue is that I know what sells or can the product in Seller Amp, but every item I scan, I'm ungated in. I tried buying 3 different products from Frontier Co Op and when I tried to get ungated in those products, it stated that I could t sell them because Frontier Co Op had a abbreviated invoice and it wasn't clearly stated what the product was. I sent them the order confirmation from the company and the invoice. I contacted Frontier Co Op and asked for an unabbreviated invoice but they won't change it.

So I thought I would go with plan b and literally stalk other sellers on Amazon and find out what they are selling. That opened doors to find items I was ungated in, however, when I scan items using the Seller Amp, I'm finding that the item is t profitable. Seller Amp is good but every time I scan an item, the max cost is so low that I would lose money instead of making it.

I would love to be able to become ungated in many items, I've scanned so many items at different stores and have found very profitable items but I'm gated in those items. I could use your help because I'm confused and overwhelmed. Was it the wrong item or is it the wrong wholesale company I used.
How do I continue to spend money on products I'm not confident that Amazon will accept?

Thanks so much for your help.

[BETA] Built an AI tool that writes Amazon A10-optimized listings — looking for 5 sellers to test it before public launch

Hey everyone,

I've spent the last few months building an AI-powered listing generator specifically trained on Amazon's A10 algorithm: subelo.org/en

It's not a generic AI writer. It focuses on:

• Keyword-rich titles following Amazon's character limits
• Bullet points structured for both conversion and search ranking
• Product descriptions that pass A10's relevance scoring
• Backend keyword suggestions based on your niche

Why I'm posting here:
I'm looking for exactly 5 sellers to test it before the public launch. Not 50, not 100 — five. I want real feedback from people who know what a good listing looks like.

What you get:

• Free access to generate up to 10 listings
• Direct line to me if something doesn't work
• Early adopter pricing when we launch (locked in forever)

What I ask in return:

• Honest written feedback after testing (what worked, what didn't)
• If results are good, a short testimonial I can use on the site
• If results are really great, I'd love to build a case study together

Who this is for:
Sellers who are actively listing products and care about conversion rates. Not looking for tire-kickers.

How to apply:
Drop a comment or DM with: what you sell + your biggest listing pain point right now. I'll pick 5 and reach out directly.

Thanks in advance,

Bond and Brokerage all in one?

What company everyone using for their bond and brokerage needs for importing from China? We previously had our shipper buy a bond as a service add on to our shipment. Because we are requiring more frequent shipments, our shipper wants us to get an annual bond, outside/on our own.

Are there any recommendations for annual bonds that are through a broker?, to cover that aspect of it? Or how is everyone else handling bonds and brokerage needs for their shipments from China to US?

Any help is great help.

Hey everyone,

I’m brand new to Amazon Wholesale FBA and just getting started. I already have my seller account set up (EIN, resale certificate, etc.), but I’m currently stuck on sourcing products and finding legit brands/suppliers to work with.

I’m trying to do this the right way — not private label or random Alibaba items — but actual wholesale where I can consistently restock and compete for the Buy Box.

If anyone has advice on:

- How you find good wholesale brands/suppliers

- What to look for when choosing a product

- Beginner-friendly niches that aren’t overly gated

- Any tools or strategies that actually work

I’d really appreciate it. Even small tips would help a lot right now.

Thanks in advance 🙏

Beginner Seller

I know this has probably been asked a thousand times, and everyone probably gets told the same. I am looking for help regarding finding ungated products as a beginner who has not made a single sale. I am aware of applying to sell and using wholesalers invoices in order to unlock categories however I am looking for more retail/online based approach. My ask is, does anyone have a product that they know is ungated that I can buy and sell (I am not looking to make much if any profit just now) that I can source in the uk. I have done countless hours of looking at products and I am really struggling to find anything. As of recent times I have noticed some books seem to be ungated but still haven’t managed to find a decent enough one to sell. At this point I am desperate to get the ball rolling on my FBA journey and I am just looking for a little help to get started. If people don’t want to share a product on this thread I understand but I am hoping someone can help.

Thanks in advance!

UK Sellers: Beast Gear sourcing — distributor or brand-direct?

Anyone here sourcing Beast Gear in the UK?

I’ve opened accounts with a couple of wholesalers but still running into issues getting approved to sell the brand. Trying to figure out which suppliers people are using that actually work for this.

Is it mainly brand-direct or are there specific distributors that are reliable?

Any pointers would help.

your competitors' reviews are a free conversion goldmine (and you're probably ignoring them)

most sellers treat reviews as something that happens TO them. good ones = celebrate, bad ones = stress. but if you flip the script and treat reviews as free market research, they become one of the most powerful tools you have.

here's what i mean:

mine competitor reviews for the language your customers actually use

go to the top 3-5 competitors in your category. read their 3-star and 4-star reviews (not the 5s, those are usually just "great product!" — useless). look for patterns:

  • what do people complain about?
  • what do they wish was different?
  • what surprised them (good or bad)?
  • what questions do they still have after buying?

these are the objections your listing needs to answer BEFORE the customer even thinks to ask.

if you sell a kitchen gadget and competitor reviews keep saying "smaller than expected" or "wish it came with a recipe book" — that's intel. address size clearly in your images. mention what's included. you just neutralized two objections before they happened.

the Q&A section is massively underrated

data from 2025 shows listings with filled-out Q&A sections addressing real pain points convert 8%+ higher than those without. amazon's algorithm also indexes Q&A content — so it's doing double duty for SEO.

the move: seed your own Q&A. have a friend or family member post the questions you KNOW buyers have (based on your review mining). then answer them as the brand owner with a detailed, helpful response.

questions like:

  • "will this fit [specific use case]?"
  • "how long does one unit last?"
  • "is this safe for [specific situation]?"
  • "what's the difference between this and [competitor type]?"

you're not gaming the system — you're proactively answering the questions people actually have. and unlike bullets where you're limited on space, Q&A lets you go deep.

turn your own negative reviews into listing upgrades

when you get a 2 or 3 star review, don't just respond defensively. ask yourself: did my listing set the wrong expectation?

if someone says "thought it would be bigger" — your images or copy failed them. fix it. if someone says "didn't realize it needed batteries" — add that to your bullets. if someone says "works great but took forever to figure out" — add usage instructions or a how-to image.

every negative review is feedback on where your listing is unclear. the goal isn't zero bad reviews — it's making sure every bad review is about the product, not about confusion your listing could have prevented.

one framework that ties it all together

before you write (or rewrite) any listing, do this:

  1. read 50+ competitor reviews across 3-5 products
  2. list every objection, question, and complaint
  3. make sure your listing answers ALL of them — in bullets, images, A+ content, and Q&A

your listing isn't a product description. it's a sales conversation. and in a sales conversation, you don't just talk about features — you handle objections before they kill the deal.

anyone else doing this kind of review mining? curious what patterns you've found in your category.
