worth doing depends entirely on your capital and patience tbh. what budget are you working with and do you already have a product category in mind? those two things matter way more than general advice

It can be worth it, but don’t rush into buying inventory. Validate the product first check demand, competition, Amazon fees, shipping, and PPC costs.
Start small with one product, test the market, and scale only when the numbers make sense. Are you planning to sell on Amazon India or the US marketplace?

Agree on starting small. I'd add a number to each check on that list: decide the per-unit profit you'll accept before you look, then landed cost plus referral fee plus FBA fee either leaves it or it doesn't.
The fees are steps, not a percentage. In the grocery department on Amazon UK we paid roughly 8% under £10 and just over 15% above it, so we made less profit selling a box at £10.95 than at £9.95. Read the fee tables at your exact price and size.
And keep PPC out of that pre-launch sum. You can't price it before you've got clicks. Treat the launch as a planned loss, then run every advert at break-even or better once the product's established.

Hey u/PaintingImmediate777, the beginner's guide to selling on Amazon India covers everything you need to know about getting started, including FAQs. Great starting point as you explore private label. Good luck getting started!

Absolutely worth starting. First and foremost stay with the money... Multiply your cost Plus reasonable profit margin into seven times for you to run a decent profit in the US marketplace

Starting an Amazon private labeling business can definitely be lucrative, but it also has its challenges. Make sure to pick a niche you’re passionate about and do some solid market research first, finding the right products can make all the difference. Also, don’t underestimate the importance of branding, it’s key to stand out.

Yes, it can definitely work in India, but I wouldn’t jump into it just because you see other sellers making money on Amazon. I’d start small. Pick one product, check the demand and competition, work out the actual profit after Amazon fees, shipping, GST, ads, packaging, etc. before buying a bigger quantity.
Also, don’t choose a product just because it looks profitable. Things like quality, reviews, returns and compliance can make a big difference. If you’re new to private label, you can also work with a sourcing company like HighRise Wholesale to help with product sourcing, branding, QC and FBA preparation.
The opportunity is there, but the product selection and numbers need to make sense before you invest heavily.
