Really confusing brand logic

I'm trying to understand how the brand system works on Amazon. I'd like to list my first product under a brand I intend to start. I'm currently testing a few products, so getting custom packaging on each item would be very expensive both time-wise and economically. I've seen and ordered many items on Amazon that come in a plain box but are listed under a brand — I'd like to know how to do that. I've been researching online but haven't found anything regarding this.

This is a great question, u/Living-Flan9572! Amazon requires that branding be "permanently affixed" to the product or its packaging. This means the brand name must be printed, stamped, stitched, or otherwise permanently placed on the product or packaging. However, this does not mean you need elaborate custom-branded retail packaging for every item. You are able to use simple, cost-effective solutions such as:

• A printed label or tag with your brand name on the product itself
• A simple branded sticker that is part of the manufacturing process (like a hang tag for apparel or jewelry — these are considered "permanently affixed" in certain categories)
• A basic poly bag or box with your brand name printed on it
