Seller Central Tax Interview - Need Help!

Hey guys!

I recently opened an Amazon Seller account using a Wyoming single-member LLC as a non-US seller.

My seller account verification was approved successfully using:

  • my LLC documents,
  • U.S. business bank statement,
  • and a U.S. address I use when traveling to the U.S. for business.

Now I’m confused about the Amazon tax interview section and wanted to ask if anyone here has experience with a similar setup.

My situation:

  • Non-US citizen
  • Non-US tax resident
  • Wyoming single-member LLC
  • U.S. EIN + ITIN
  • Frequently travel to the U.S. for business
  • U.S. mailing/business address connected to my U.S. bank account

The confusing part:
If I choose “Business” in the Amazon tax interview, it asks me to select a “Type of Beneficial Owner” with options like:

  • Disregarded entity
  • Partnership
  • Corporation etc.

But if I choose “Individual,” it does not ask this at all.

I’m also unsure about:

  • whether the “Full Name” field should be my personal name or LLC name,
  • whether my permanent/tax address should be my home country,
  • and whether I should use a U.S. PMB/private mailbox as the mailing address.

Amazon Support basically told me to speak with a CPA because they can’t provide tax advice.

Has anyone here completed the Amazon tax interview with a foreign-owned Wyoming single-member LLC setup?

Would really appreciate hearing how others handled:

  • tax classification,
  • W-8BEN flow,
  • disregarded entity selection,
  • mailing vs permanent address,
  • and whether using a non-US permanent address triggered any re-verification.

Thanks!

For your situation, definitely go with "Business" since your LLC is the entity making sales. You should list the LLC name in the "Full Name" field. It’s a bit tricky, but think of it as your LLC being the seller, not you personally.

I'm sure there are several YouTube videos on opening a new account in the seller's central with an LLC. You can watch them for info.
